Taekwondo championship from May 5 in Vizianagaram

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Olympic Association (APOA), represented by President RK Purushotham and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) DS Venkatarama Naidu, along with other officials, unveiled the poster for the 5th AP Cup State Taekwondo Championship 2026 during their annual general body meeting (AGM) held here on Tuesday. The championship will be organised by the Vizianagaram District Taekwondo Association at Rajiv Stadium in Vizianagaram from May 5 to May 7. General secretary Ch Venugopal Rao said the State-level championship is being conducted for the fifth time. Around 600 players, including boys and girls from various age groups and weight categories, are expected to participate in the three-day event.
APOA president RK Purushotham and other office-bearers appreciated the efforts of the Taekwondo Association for consistently organising the State championship and promoting the sport.
Vice-presidents Badeti Venkataramaiah and Nadella Brahmaji Rao, treasurer Srinivas, Vizianagaram District Taekwondo Association President G Ayyalu, and others were present.
