Tenali: In an incident, a couple has committed suicide in a lodge room in Tanali at Guntur district. The deceased identified as Sagar Babu (25), a native of Jupudi village in Amaravati Mandal and woman G Tejasvi (23) belongs to Gollagudem village at Kankipadu Mandal of Krishna district.

According to the police details, the couple reached Tenali town on Wednesday and took a room in a lodge on Railway station road. After checking-in, there was no response from the room.

With this, the lodge staff looked through the keyhole, found the woman lying on the bed unconsciously, and there were also bloodstains in the room. Immediately, they informed the police.

On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and broke open the room door and found Tejasvi lying dead on the bed with a cut on her left wrist. Sagar Babu was also found dead in the bathroom.

The police who searched the room seized a pesticide bottle. It's said that both have consumed pesticides by mixing in the soft drink and Tejasvi also cut her wrist. Three Town CI C Suresh inspected the room.

The deceased were identified based on the photo ID cards, which were given to the lodge staff. On the 7th of this month, Tejasvi's missing case was registered at Kankipadu police station. The police are trying to establish the relationship between both and informed the deceased family members. The complete details will be known after the arrival of the family members.

It's reported that the deceased become friends while working in a private company in Vijayawada which later turned into love. Sagar Babu is already married and has a one and a half-year-old son and his wife is currently pregnant.
