District and Sessions Judge G Venkata Krishnaiah said that police personnel have to improve knowledge levels on the legal procedures and related Acts for registering cases.
Nellore: District and Sessions Judge G Venkata Krishnaiah said that police personnel have to improve knowledge levels on the legal procedures and related Acts for registering cases. He addressed at the Annual Crime Meet held in Umesh Chandra Conference Hall in the city on Friday.
He said that the police should take all precautions while registering cases so that the accused would be punished in the court. `Rate of crimes has been increasing as the culprits misuse the latest technology. Police have to utilise the advanced technology to collect evidence for proving the accusations substantiating with accurate evidence,' he said.
District Collector MV Seshagiri Babu said people seek the help of police whenever they face a problem in society. So, the Police have the utmost responsibility to serve the public sincerely and asked them to take measures to provide speedy justice to the victims.
Superintendent of Police Bhaskar Bhushan explained the crime scenario of 2017-19 to the officials through a power point presentation and measures they had taken to control them in the district. Additional S P (Crimes) P Manohar Rao and others were present.
