Venkaiah Naidu to lay stone for Midhani unit on Aug 26
The Vice-President of India M Venkaiah Naidu is visiting the district on Saturday and would participate in various programmes for two days
Nellore: The Vice-President of India M Venkaiah Naidu is visiting the district on Saturday and would participate in various programmes for two days. He would inaugurate the Gudur-Vijayawada intercity express at Gudur on Sunday.
Venkaiah also participates in the convocation of Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) on the same day. He would lay foundation stone for the Midhani unit at Bodduvaripalem on August 26 in which Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh would also attend.
The AP Governor is also visiting the city on Sunday for declaring degrees of the VSU during convocation being held after five years. Further, the Vice-President would visit the longest electrified tunnel railway line at Rapur.
The Vice-President starts from Venkatachalam on Saturday and inspects the railway line, tunnel and others. Senior railway officials from the SCR would also accompany the Vice-President.
