Former Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy, has stated that there is a new political party that would soon be launched in Andhra Pradesh. In an pree conference in Vijayawada, he disclosed some vital information about the flag and program of the upcoming party. Reddy criticized the current scenario of politics in Andhra Pradesh, stating that despite the fact that TDP, YCP, and Jana Sena are the dominant political forces, they do not concentrate completely on people's problems. "The present scenario in the state demands one more political party," he said.
On this occasion, Vijayasai Reddy leveled serious allegations against the major parties. He described the TDP as the "Red Book Party" and the YCP as the "Rappa Rappa Party." He criticised the police for acting in favor of the ruling party and accused both parties of attempting to loot public funds. He further criticised both political parties for transforming into mere family-run entities. He said that politics in Andhra Pradesh have now started resembling the politics of Tamil Nadu, with the government being focused more on filing cases against the critics.
Vijayasai Reddy clarified the policies and future plans of the new party. He explicitly stated that he would not be the Chief Ministerial candidate for the new party. He questioned whether power in the state is reserved solely for the Reddy and Kamma communities, asking if there are no eligible individuals from other castes. He stated that priority would be given only to deserving individuals and clarified that he would offer advice from the background rather than assuming any direct official position. He emphasized that the new party would prioritize those with a spirit of patriotism. He announced plans to hold three additional media conferences—in Anantapur, Tirupati, and Visakhapatnam—to explain the party's policies, with five key points to be revealed at each meeting; these points would eventually be consolidated into the election manifesto.
Expressing concern over the state's financial situation, he noted that expenditures in Andhra Pradesh had far outpaced revenues and that the prices of essential commodities had skyrocketed. He stated that his party would focus specifically on strategies to reduce these prices. He called for a collective effort to attract investments to the state and insisted that Amaravati must be recognized as the capital, regardless of personal preferences. Addressing the youth, he questioned why governments are afraid of 'Gen Z'.
He made significant promises with a focus on empowering the youth, announcing that 66 percent of government positions would be allocated to individuals aged between 25 and 40. He also assured that free electricity could be provided without imposing a financial burden on anyone, promising to create a system where citizens could sell electricity back to the government. Furthermore, Vijayasai Reddy called for a reduction in petrol and diesel prices nationwide and pledged to completely overhaul and rectify the state's irrigation system.
