On tonsure incident, the top cop says they have taken action against the SI immediately
Vijayawada: Director general of police (DGP) D Gautam Sawang on Thursday inspected the arrangements being made for the Independence Day celebrations to be held at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium on Saturday.
He received the guard of honour and inspected the security arrangements, drill, etc., The state government has decided to highlight its efforts in the fight against the Covid-19 and welfare schemes.
Speaking on the occasion, the DGP said Andhra Pradesh police won 26 national awards for using innovative technology last year and earned appreciation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Referring to tonsure case in East Godavari, Sawang said the police took action against the SI immediately and added that indiscipline would not be tolerated among the personnel.
