New initiation was taken by Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devestanam authorities under the aegis of temple Executive Officer MV Suresh Babu to distribute Anna Prasadam to the poor senior citizens and orphans who cannot come to the temple atop Indrakeeladri.

The food will be supplied to old age homes and orphanages on every Tuesday.
In this regard, the temple authorities have decided to distribute Anna Prasadam to orphanage and old age homes and feed about 50 to 100 senior citizens and orphans. On Tuesday they distributed Anna Prasadam at a old age home at Kanuru.
The Executive Officer said that daily Anna Prasadam was distributed to about 4,000 to 5,000 devotees at the temple and to extend the programme to the poor and senior citizens who cannot come to the temple, the new programmee was launched.
