Visakhapatnam: Soon executive capital will be shifted to Visakhapatnam and hence efforts are on to ensure that there is no shortage of drinking water and other infrastructural facilities, said YSRCP Parliamentary Party leader V Vijayasai Reddy here on Monday.
Addressing the media after a review meeting, Reddy said government lands need to be protected and the responsibility lies on all of us. He said he had asked District Collector V Vinay Chand to file criminal cases against those involved in land-grabbing. The MP said e-passbooks will be issued to original patta owners without any deviation. Talking about house sites, Agriculture Minister K Kanna Babu said every eligible person will get a house site as the state government has planned to distribute 29 lakh house sites across the state on July 8, he said. Additional 29,000 beneficiaries have been identified in Visakhapatnam, he said. "In the rural areas, layouts are getting ready and identification of beneficiaries has been done through lottery system. TIDCO had originally identified 43,000 beneficiaries," he added.
