The surface periodicity continues in the southeastern Bay of Bengal and the adjacent Indian Ocean extending upto 4.5 km above sea level.

The surface periodicity continues in the southeastern Bay of Bengal and the adjacent Indian Ocean extending upto 4.5 km above sea level. On the other hand the ongoing surface periodicity in the Mannar Gulf region has gradually weakened. With this the Indian Meteorological Department has forecasted light to moderate rains in one or two places in Rayalaseema today while coastal areas will have a dry climate.

Meanwhile, winters are booming across Visakhapatnam Agency. The lowest temperature of 8 degrees was recorded at the Chintapalli Agricultural Research Station on Tuesday. The fog is also thickening. The tribesmen are trembling with the severity of the cold.

The cyclone Burevi has weakened into low pressure two days back due to which the north Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema have been receiving rains for the last three days that will further continue today as well. In this backdrop, Rayalaseema to witness moderate rainfall for today. While Tamil Nadu which is the most effected with these cyclones has witnessed heavy rains.
