The low pressure in the Arabian Sea were concentrated 220 km away from Thiruvananthapuram and as the impact of this heavy rains would lash out Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Konkan, Goa and Karnataka on Thursday, officials of the area warned. Govt and private schools in Puducherry were closed on Thursday due to heavy rains, said CM V. Narayanaswamy said.
