TDP senior leader Yanamala Ramakrishna was incensed that the government was cheating by stating that Divis would not address the demands of the people of Konaseema. He demanded that the government withdraw the criminal cases against the locals. He said the government had not promised to drop the cases and had not even agreed to move the company to another area. Yanamala expressed concern that the shrimp business would be damaged by the pollution coming from the industry and the youth would lose their jobs. He said that the government must respond to these issues.
