The HMTV Business Excellence Awards 2026 will be held on October 31 at Trident Hyderabad, Hitech City, bringing together entrepreneurs, startups, corporates and industry leaders for the ninth edition of the awards.
The event will recognise achievements across multiple areas of business, including innovation, leadership, customer service and growth. According to the event brochure, the awards have completed eight editions and are entering their ninth edition in 2026.
Nominations Open For Business Excellence Awards
Nominations for the 2026 edition are open, with the last date for submission set for October 10, 2026.
The awards cover a wide range of industries and business categories, allowing companies, entrepreneurs and professionals from different sectors to participate.
The award categories include manufacturing, services, infrastructure, healthcare, retail and special awards, among others.
More Than 50 Business Categories
The manufacturing categories include sectors such as pharmaceuticals, bulk drugs, food processing, textiles and jewellery, electronics, chemicals, capital goods, automobiles, green energy equipment and agricultural instruments and drones.
The service-sector categories include software, BPOs, KPOs, consultancies, financial services, real estate, hospitality, healthcare, wellness, event planning and hotels.
The awards also include several special recognitions, including Best Young Entrepreneur, Best Woman Entrepreneur, Best Legacy Business, Best Innovative Entrepreneur, Best Startup Entrepreneur, Best Social Entrepreneur and Lifetime Achievement.
GCC And Space-Defence Technology Sessions
The awards ceremony will also feature focused sessions on emerging areas of technology and business.
The GCC Hour – Hyderabad will bring together business and technology leaders for discussions on insights, leadership and transformation. The brochure lists speakers and participants from organisations including CIBC India, Citi, LPL Financial, ArcelorMittal and Technogen.
Another session will focus on Space and Defence Technology, with themes including innovation, security, growth and Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Participants listed in the brochure include representatives and former officials associated with ISRO, the defence sector, space technology and technology companies.
12-Hour Hackathon To Highlight Emerging Technologies
A 12-hour hackathon will also be organised as part of the event on October 31 at Trident Hotel, Hyderabad.
The programme will feature 20 shortlisted teams, which will pitch their ideas and showcase their solutions before GCC and industry leaders. The top five teams will subsequently be recognised at the Business Excellence Awards.
The hackathon will focus on areas including IoT and robotics, artificial intelligence, drones and space, quantum technology, and semiconductor and electronics innovation.
Other problem areas listed include cyber threat detection, identity protection, secure digital platforms, data privacy and global collaboration.
Jury Panel And Industry Participation
The awards will be evaluated by a jury comprising industry and institutional experts. The brochure lists Srinivas Garimella, Chairman of Daifuku Intralogistics India and Senior Vice President of FTCCI; Kondaveeti Sudhir Reddy, President of the Telangana Industrialists Federation; Balapradad Peddigari, Chief Innovation Officer at TCS; and Dr Shankara Prasad, Principal Technical Advisor at the Ministry of MSME, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
The event is positioned as a platform for recognising business achievements while bringing together entrepreneurs, startups, MSMEs, corporates and industry leaders from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
With nominations closing on October 10, eligible participants have until the deadline to submit their entries for the 2026 edition.
