Petrol and diesel prices on 29 May 2020: Petrol and diesel prices have been unchanged at major metro cities on Friday May 28. The prices are stable since March 16 due to the fall in crude oil prices in international markets. However, the government has a increased VAT and cess on the fuel prices, which are yet to be come into force.

Going the petrol and diesel prices, petrol and diesel prices have remained the same in the national capital Delhi where the petrol prices continue to be at Rs 71.26. While diesel prices have also stabilized at Rs.69.39. The situation is similar in Mumbai, the commercial capital wherein the petrol prices are stable at Rs.76.31 and diesel prices have also continued to be steady at Rs 66.21.

The price of a litre of petrol in Hyderabad on Thursday was at Rs. 73.97 and diesel is recorded at Rs. 67.82 per litre respectively.

In Chennai, the petrol price per litre is recorded at Rs. 75.60 per litre with a rise of six paise whereas diesel is priced at Rs. 68.28 per litre with seven paise decrease.

The petrol and diesel prices mentioned above are due at 8 in the morning and petroleum companies revise the petrol and diesel prices on the basis of crude oil prices in the international market. Against this backdrop, prices are subjected to change regularly.
