Kichguth Maramma temple where 17 people died after they ate prasada laced with poison to reopen on 20 October after nearly two years since the incident 

After nearly two years since the ghastly incident where in 104 people fell ill and 17 people died after they consumed prasada laced at Kichguth Maramma temple at Sulwadi in Hanur taluk, in Chamarajnagar district, Chamarajnagar district administration is gearing up to reopen the Kichguth Maramma temple on 20 October. Hanur tahslidar Mr G H Nagaraj informed this to this news paper and said that they are making all preparations  to re-open the temple and they would host series of poojas before the re open the temple. The temple was closed after the incident. Meanwhile all four accused in the incident have not got bail till date and they are housed in Mysuru central jail.
