72nd National Film Awards: Check Out The Complete Winners List

It is well known that the most-awaited 72nd National Film Awards are being held at Ekta Nagar, Kevadia, Gujarat. But for the first time, this prestigious event moved out of Delhi and is being held in Gujarat. As Kevadia is known for its 182-metre Statue of Unity dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, central government stated that these awards are being taken to tourist destinations to promote tourism.

Well, the National Film Awards were first instituted in 1954 to recognize excellence among Feature Films, Non-Feature Films and Writing on Cinema across India's diverse languages and regions.

As of now, the event begun at 3 PM today and President Droupadi Murmu is honoring the outstanding achievements in Indian cinema for the year 2024.

Bollywood’s ace actors Kartik Aaryan and Yami Gautam received their Best Actor and Actress awards and even Mollywood’s iconic actor Mammootty is also honoured with the Best Actor award alongside Kartik Aaryan.
