Actress Fatima Sana Shaikh speaks on the importance of regional cinema at the first International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir 2026, held in Srinagar. The actress said that regional films are all about portraying the real life of that particular region and not the perception of it by someone else.
As her mother is from Kashmir, the actress felt that visiting the Valley was special and that the region could soon become a popular film destination. Fatima also spoke lovingly of Dangal co-star Zaira Wasim.
