Refuting the rumours of contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has extended his support to his sister Priya Dutt and denied all the rumours about him contesting.

Sanjay Dutt took to Twitter to clarify about him contesting the 2019 elections. He said, "The rumor about me contesting for the Loksabha elections is not true. I stand with my country and in full support for my sister @PriyaDutt_INC. I urge everyone to come out in maximum numbers and cast their vote for our nation!''

On the work front, Sanjay Dutt has lined up back to back releases in 2019, movies such as Torbaaz, Prasthanam Remake, Kalank and Panipat.

Torbaaz is an upcoming drama film directed by Girish Malik. The film will see Sanjay Dutt in the role of an army officer in the film.

Kalank, a period drama film directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios. It stars Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur.

The film is scheduled for release on 17 April 2019.
