It is well known that Ulaganayakan Kamal Haasan and ace filmmaker Shankar joined hands for the most-awaited sequel Indian 2. Although the movie garnered immense hype among the audience ahead of its release, the complete scenario changed post-release. The weak screenplay and execution disappointed many movie lovers, and the film failed to live up to the massive expectations.
But now, after a couple of years, once again the speculations regarding Indian 3 are doing rounds among the film circles. Indian 3 could finally be back on track as a major portion is already shot with only patchwork and VFX reportedly pending.
After Indian 2, this project was put on hold. Now Kamal Haasan and Shankar may soon resume work. Senapathy’s return could be exciting. Although Shankar delivered biggest failure with Indian 2, he had a chance to impress the audience with Ram Charan’s Game Changer. But Shankar once again disappointed with Game Changer and thus it became one of Charan’s major setbacks.
Although, there is no official announcement regarding Indian 3, the rumours around this project are creating a little hope among Shankar’s fans. As he is considered as one of the finest filmmakers in India, both Game Changer and Indian 2 brought his market down. But now, he has a golden chance to bounce back with Indian 3. As the major shooting of this movie has been completed, only the patchwork and a part of graphics work is pending. This doesn’t require much budget too.
But as the story of Indian 2 was not that engaging, how can the makers take a risk to continue with the same story in the third part. For now, there is no official confirmation regarding the resumption of Indian 3. If the project does indeed go back on the sets, an official announcement from Lyca Productions is expected to follow.
