Tamil hero donates for feeding white tiger in Chennai zoo

Sivakarthikeyan, one of the latest heroes in Tamil cinema has risen to the top in less than a decade since his entry as a television anchor and star. Recently, he was in the news in the local filmi circles too for having been considered for a role in a forthcoming Pawan Kalyan film to be directed by Krish, which is yet unknown.

Like many wildlife lovers, he too has been helping out feeding a white tiger in the Chennai zoo for more than 18 months. Under an existing scheme nationwide, any member of the public can adopt an animal of their choice and pay for their upkeep. Sivakarthikeyan, on his part, has adopted a female tiger by name Anu and has been paying a sum of Rs 1196 per day for its food requirements.

Recently, he renewed his commitment by agreeing to pay for Anu's needs by another four months. The Vandalur zoo, amongst the popular ones in India, is spread over 620 hectares and has a variety of species touching nearly 2000 from elephants to birds.
