Rythu Devo Bhava, Says Puneeth Rajkumar To Uplift Farmers

Sandalwood Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar is known to promote social causes. Even in movies, the actor always sends out a message. Now, we hear that he has joined hands with several colleagues from the industry in the 'feed your farmers' campaign. This programme aims to ease the burden of the farmers and allow them to express their day to day challenges and other concerns.

Puneeth Rajkumar is already involved in a lot of social service activities in the name of his late actor father Dr Rajkumar in whose name a trust has been set up. Under Dr Rajkumar Trust free education to the needy, eye surgeries, aid for higher education and orphanages are a few of the many services being taken care of.

Now, under a foundation set up by Srivathsa Vajpayee, a feed your farmers programme has been started. Music director K Kalyan has composed the music based on farmers for the same.

When Puneeth wad told about this, the actor is said to have been excited about the project and willingly agreed to take part. The Sandalwood Power Star is believed to have told them: "I am the son of a farmer too. My father would often take us to our farms whenever he did not have film shoots. So the exposure was there right in our childhood and this is a brilliant concept."

So with the backing of star like Puneeth and several other stars, the programme is sure to take wings and soar.
