The upcoming Telugu feature "Rupayanamaha" has officially completed its censor formalities and is locking its sights on a grand theatrical release on October 2. Produced by Pavani Sagi under the banner of Chithra Veda Productions and directed by Aravind Reddy, the film has secured a clean U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification.
With an approved runtime of two hours and thirteen minutes, the movie reportedly earned positive appreciation from the censor board panel for its engaging mix of lighthearted family entertainment, sharp comedic timing, and tightly paced suspense.
The narrative of "Rupayanamaha" revolves around the chaos, greed, and surprising relationships that erupt when a life-changing one-crore lottery ticket enters the picture. Rather than treating the subject as a routine slapstick comedy, director Aravind Reddy has woven together relatable domestic drama with nail-biting thriller beats to keep audiences guessing.
The promotional momentum for the film kicked off on a strong note when popular director Tharun Bhascker unveiled the first-look poster along with the energetic title track, which struck a chord with netizens across social media platforms. With the release date now locked for the Gandhi Jayanti holiday weekend, the production unit is gearing up to launch their official theatrical trailer and a series of promotional events in the coming days.
The film features an ensemble cast comprising Aravind Pandrate, Venu Polsani, D. Anudeep, Sravani Malkani, Krack Sreemani, Vishan Sri, and Kavyasri Madishetty in key roles.
On the technical front, Rishi M has composed the music and background score, while Jinka Varun Naidu handled the cinematography. Editing duties have been overseen by Raviteja Girijala. "Rupayanamaha" is set to hit silver screens across the Telugu states on October 2.
