Why Is Wamiqa Gabbi Left Out Of DC Success Celebrations

It is well known that Lokesh Kanagaraj made his debut as an actor with DC. Well, he also bagged the biggest blockbuster with this first movie as it minted more than 100 crores within less span of time. Inspired by a classic tale, Devdas, the film features Lokesh in the role of DC while lead actress Wamiqa Gabbi essayed the role of Chandra.

As per the latest reports, the movie minted Rs 106+ crores at the ticket windows and turned it into a profitable project for the makers. Thus, the makers also showed off their gratitude by presenting new BMW cars to the director Arun Matheswaran, lead actor Lokesh and music composer Anirudh Ravichander.

The makers also shared this big news on social media and thanked their team for their remarkable achievement.

The video highlights Sun Pictures owner Kalanithi Maran unveiling the brand-new BMW cars and handing over the keys to the director Arun Matheswaran, lead actor Lokesh and music composer Anirudh Ravichander.

Till here everything seemed to be wonderful. However, some netizens were quick to question the DC team about the absence of lead actress Wamiqa Gabbi from the celebrations as she was not included among those who received the special gifts.

"Half the cheers in movie theatres was for wamiqa and u left her.. it was a collective win not this trio alone", another person complained. The reactions clearly show that a section of the audience believes Wamiqa Gabbi deserved better recognition for her contribution to DC. Finally, the absence of the lead actress Wamiqa from the celebrations has certainly caught the attention of netizens.
