UNIFYD: SRK curates mega music fest with Arijit Singh, Karan Aujla, Sonu Nigam
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has launched UNIFYD, an international music festival that will see A-list names like Arijit Singh, Karan Aujla and Sonu Nigam perform on the same stage. Set to take place on March 20, 2027 at Etihad Live on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, the one-day extravaganza is expected to draw a huge crowd. The fest will see 12 plus artists performing across multiple stages, with Shah Rukh curating the event to highlight the vast range of talent India has to offer. UNIFYD has been conceptualized as a music festival where the legendary singer Sonu Nigam will be performing for the first time in his glittering career. Apart from him, the two-time National Film Award winner Arijit Singh and Punjabi music star Karan Aujla will also be part of the star-studded line-up. Produced by D’YAVOL Live and District, UNIFYD will see the participation of over 12 music artists from India. The event has been organized in collaboration with Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism and Miral, with Emirates NBD as an associate partner.
The mega fest aims to witness a convergence of fans from India, the Middle East and the wider global South Asian community. “Music has the power to bring people together just as effectively as cinema does. UNIFYD will be a spectacular celebration of India’s vibrant music culture and bring together India’s biggest music stars on a global stage,” said Shah Rukh Khan.
“By choosing Yas Island, we want to position it as a global entertainment destination and leverage the cultural ties between the UAE and India,” he added. Meanwhile, D’YAVOL Live co-founder Bunty Singh said that the music festival will provide India’s music industry with the exposure it needs on the world stage. “We wanted to create a unique celebration of Indian music and culture that will stay in the hearts and minds of millions and be much bigger than just a concert,” said District CEO Rahul Ganjoo.
In its first edition, UNIFYD has been able to rope in some of the biggest names in Indian music. With its sights set on making it an annual event, the organizers have plans to make it even bigger and better every year and take it to other cities and countries.
