Hyderabad: Dr BR Ambedkar Open University announced admissions to PhD programmes for the 2025-26 academic year in English, Telugu, Chemistry, Economics, History, and Sociology on Thursday.
Admissions will be conducted through a Computer Based Test followed by an interview. Candidates qualifying in UGC, CSIR-JRF, NET, GATE, or CEED are exempt from the written entrance test, though mandatory online registration and interview participation remain required.
Online registration is available exclusively on the university portal www.braoouonline.in, requiring a fee of Rs 1500 for general candidates and Rs 1000 for SC, ST, BC, and PWD applicants.
The entrance examination will take place solely at Hyderabad test centres. The deadline for fee payment and online application submission is October 6, 2026.
