Doubles title winner Sanneet felicitated
Sanneet Uppathi clinched the doubles title in under-14 boys of the Champion Series conducted by Rama Tennis Academy from March 23 to 24.
Hyderabad: Sanneet Uppathi clinched the doubles title in under-14 boys of the Champion Series conducted by Rama Tennis Academy from March 23 to 24.
Sanneet along with Vedanth defeated the duo of Papari Vignesh and Srihari in straight sets 7-6(5),6-4 in the final.
Sanneet's all-round court game, quick reflexes and strong forehand coupled with fine coordination with his partner Vedanth fetched them the crown in a gruelling 90-minute encounter.
The match was for best of three sets. In the semi finals they defeated Aneesh jain and G.Naishaik Reddy 4-1, 4-0 and in the run up to semis they outplayed Chris Mamilton Ross and Vijay Sarathy 4-2, 4-1.
The championship series is conducted within five southern states Kerala, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh.
On this stupendous achievement, Sarojini Cricket and Fitness Academy Secretary G.Kiran Reddy and I.T.Commissioner (Administration & Vigilance) Peeyush Sonkar, IRS, felicitated the youngster and wished him many more success.
Sanneeth a class eighth student of Chaitanya Vidyala is coached by Purushotham, Imran and Bola Singh.
His physical fitness is monitored by none other than G.Kiran Reddy with special focus on agility, speed and endurance.
The secretary also congratulated his parents for the continuous support.
