The School of Computer and Information Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH) organised TekSplash2k19 a cultural day and alumni meet on the campus.

Hyderabad: The School of Computer and Information Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH) organised TekSplash2k19 a cultural day and alumni meet on the campus. The event has provided the perfect platform for gathering the faculty, alumni, students and non-teaching staff. Around five hundred people participated in the event.

The event was successfully coordinated by the volunteers from the students and faculty. The Chief Guest, Vice Chancellor, Prof P. Appa Rao appreciated the contribution of faculty and alumni towards the recognition of UoH among the best Universities in the country.

As a part of this event, competitions were conducted in cultural, sports and technical levels and the winners were given prizes in badminton, cricket, basketball, football, volleyball, caroms, chess, PUBG and table tennis.

The Dean of SCIS, Prof K Narayana Murthy in his keynote stressed upon the importance of alumni interaction. "These kind of meetings are crucial in forming a common platform in academics, industries & research, and thus help in moulding the future of students", he said.

Prof P Prakash Babu, Alumni coordinator has shared his memories with the audience. He appreciated and emphasized the importance of self-sustenance and financial independence of the department.

Chief Guest from the alumni, Dr Vijender Reddy Busi, scientist at ISRO, addressed the gathering by sharing his valuable experiences in academics and the contributions he made in the field of research.

Motivational speaker RavindrababuRavula, founder of Raudra EduServices shared his life experiences and the significance of financial independence for achieving success and recognition.

The tireless efforts of around 60 students and the faculty coordinators helped in making the event a huge success. The alumni who were part of the events were filled with nostalgia and remembered their good days on the university campus. They hope to be part of this event in the years to come.
