Hyderabad: Apurba De, a Ph.D. research scholar working with Prof. Anunay Samanta in the School of Chemistry, University of Hyderabad has won the "Best Poster" prize in the DAE-BRNS Theme Meeting called "Ultrafast Science-2019" held in IIT Bombay from 7-9 November. He has been awarded with a certificate and Cash price for the same.

This theme meeting is one of the best platforms in the country which brings together the rapidly growing community of researchers working in ultrafast science and technology. Apurba presented a poster entitled "Impact of B-cation doping on the Photoluminescence Properties of CsPbCl3 Perovskite Nanocrystals: Investigating the Carrier Dynamics".

Apurba joined Prof. Anunay Samanta's research group in 2015 after his Master's degree in Chemistry from the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College, Kolkata. His current research interest lies in understanding ultrafast photoinduced processes in perovskite nanocrystals employing mainly femtosecond transient absorption measurements.
