The final electoral roll has been issued in Karnataka after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), in which the total number of registered voters has decreased by almost 99.32 lakh. The final voter list has 4,55,00,011 voters, while the voter list prior to revision exercise has 5,54,32,314 voters.

The name of 8.64 lakh people have been added to the final voter list.

The final electoral roll has 8.64 lakh more voters than the draft list, which had removed more than 1.07 crore names from the voter lists. The most recent poll figures show that the final roll has fewer registered voters than the pre-SIR roll.

The published data shows that there are over 2.25 crore men, 2.29 crore women and 2,841 third gender voters in the final electorate.

Electoral Roll of the constituency is available on the website of Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer. The elector can also verify his or her voter registration on the electoral search portal of the Election Commission.

Voters have to click on the ‘Search by EPIC’ option on the website, enter their voter ID number, select Karnataka and fill the captcha in order to search for their names.

When the portal shows ‘No Result Found', voters should compare all the information they have on hand with the official electoral roll and contact election officials to make sure their names have not been deleted.

Voters Advised To Check Information

The final list has been published after concerns about the number of names not on the draft roll in the SIR. People who are not sure about their voter status will be asked to check with the official sources to confirm whether their names are recorded in the final electoral roll.

Always love to raise the unraised matter. In a world of worries, I am always ready to come over my comfort zone and taking the step ahead of spreading awareness.
