Raichur man kills wife, two children before killing self
Raichur: A shocking family tragedy came to light in Jalal Nagar of Raichur, where a 45-year-old man allegedly strangled his wife and two children to death before ending his life by jumping in front of a train.
His eldest son survived the incident.
The deceased have been identified as Vishnu (45), his wife Aruna (36), son Shloka (10) and daughter Khushi (7). According to Raichur Superintendent of Police Arunangshu Giri, Vishnu allegedly killed his family members while they were asleep at home on Saturday night.
Police suspect that severe financial losses in his personal business drove him to take the extreme step. After allegedly killing his wife and two younger children by strangulation, Vishnu reportedly went towards Chikkasugur village and jumped onto a railway track. His eldest son Suhas escaped death, though the circumstances under which he survived remain unclear. Police are gathering information to establish what happened inside the house and how the boy managed to escape.
