The novel virus Covid-19 is rapidly spreading in the country making us reminisce the situation of Italy and Spain… India has just reached the list of top ten countries which pose the highest Corona positive cases. This emergency situation is making the people and Government go worried. Although the death rate is low in India but the spread is not getting cut down. In the last 15-30 days, Government witnessed a drastic change as the positive cases have doubled up in this period.

Well, as of now there is no vaccine for this pandemic but eating healthy and maintaining social distance will make us to rule of the deadly Coronavirus.

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) aims to make citizens improve their eating habits by making the right choice of foods in the lockdown period. Thus it has released a list of healthy foods which one need to add to their diet in this health crisis period… FSSAI mainly focused on the eatables which are an abode of vitamins, omega fatty acids and iron. This organization also mentioned that, intake of these foods will turn people healthy and also build their immune system.

1. Liquid Diet

Food Particulars: Water, coconut water, green tea, lemon juice, herbal tea, soups, buttermilk, milk, fruits and veggies which have high-content of water like watermelon.

Benefits: Gulping down these liquids will help the body stay hydrated. Even the bacteria and other foreign particles will be easily ruled out from the body through sweat and urine. So, health officials suggest people to drink at least 5-8 glasses of water on daily basis.

2. Proteins

Food Particulars: Soybeans, milk, chicken, mutton, fish, eggs, pulses and sprouts.
