Khaali Peeli Movie Review: Best Masala Entertainer In The Recent Times

Khaali Peeli Movie Review:  Going with the best chasing scenes, Khaali Peeli movie is entertaining the audience with all the 'Masala' content. It all starts off with Blackie aka Ishaan Khattar being released from the Central Jail. Here comes our lady lead Ananya Pandey aka Pooja (Red Riding Hood) drifting the yellow taxi. Then the director takes us back to the flashback episode. Both lead actors Blackie and Red meet in their childhood in the dungeons of crime and child trafficking and prostitution. Unfortunately, they part their ways and meet again after 10 years as strangers.

Then we will witness Vijay's journey… It all begins with Blackie convincing his father to loot the jewellery shop. Then he escapes from the Police and reach Mumbai and meets Yousuf. Then Yousuf offers a crash course in 'Gunda-ism' and trains Blackie at Maratha Mandir where he also sells tickets in black.

Once when the taxi strikes is on in the city, Blackie who wants to mint money using the situation runs his taxi on roads. Then he meets Pooja who is seen running on the road holding the suitcase filled with cash and jewellery.

Then the chase gets started… The goons fall back of them, fights continue and then escaping episode takes the movie where wheels begin to grind. It just looks like the scenes are picked from the movies like Sadak, Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin, Rangeela, Raja and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

Here we need to know about the antagonist in the movie who is 'Ahlawat'. He is the 80s style goon who involves in prostitution.

Coming to the performances, Ishaan best fits the bill as 'Blackie' and his attire also suits the Mumbai 'Rowdy' appeal. He helps Ananya going with the half-share deal and then eventually, both fall in love making us witness a few romantic scenes.

Ananya Pandey essayed the role of Pooja (Red Riding Hood)… She is a dancer but turns into a thief by stealing a suitcase filled with jewellery and cash. She runs as hard she can and seeks the help of Blackie. Both face a lot of chases, fights and also fall in love.

The story of Khaali Peeli also showcases the dark side of Kamathipura (Mumbai's red-light district)… Even the chemistry between the young actors Ishaan and Ananya ups the film's image and peppy dance numbers and background music is an asset for this thriller genre.

Finally, 'Khaali Peeli' is a complete entertainer and makes us enjoy the weekend with its chase and action episodes.
