Minister Ramprasad slams YSRCP over Mega DSC slur
Amaravati: Transport minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy on Monday condemned the YSRCP’s allegations against Mega DSC candidates, saying such remarks insult the years of hard work and sacrifices made by successful candidates.
Speaking to the media at party state office in Mangalagiri, the minister urged YSRCP leaders to stop harassing and casting aspersions on Mega DSC candidates. He said many candidates who appeared for the DSC examination in 2018 but failed to secure jobs continued their efforts for seven years and finally succeeded in the 2025 Mega DSC recruitment.
The candidates studied day and night and made several sacrifices to secure government jobs, he said. “Even though this was their last opportunity for some of them, they remained determined and achieved their goal. It is unfair to belittle their success for political reasons,” he said.
Reddy said the entire Mega DSC recruitment process, from receiving applications to preparing the merit list, was conducted in a strict and transparent manner. Jobs were awarded purely on the basis of merit and eligibility, he said, adding that there was no scope for irregularities in the recruitment process.
Questioning the success of the selected candidates amounted to insulting the years of hard work put in by them and their families, the Minister said. He warned the YSRCP against playing politics with the future of the youth and urged it not to undermine the efforts of the candidates.
Reddy also appealed to YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy to understand the concerns and anguish of Mega DSC candidates.
