Awareness rally held to mark ‘Cean Air for Blue Skies’ Day
Anantapur: The Anantapur Municipal Corporation and the Pollution Control Board jointly organized an awareness rally on Monday to mark “Clean Air for Blue Skies” Day (Swachh Vayu Divas). Led by Municipal Commissioner Jaswanth Rao, the rally proceeded from the Corporation office to Tower Clock.
Officials urged citizens to reduce vehicular emissions by securing valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates and encouraged widespread tree plantation to improve air quality. Executive Engineer Shakir Hussain, Municipal Health Officer Dr Raja Ravindranath Chowdary, PCB EE Sasikala, and MEPMA staff participated in the event to advocate for cleaner urban environments.
