Bengaluru: In a major boost to international employment opportunities for skilled youth in Karnataka, the Government Tool Room & Training Centre (GTTC) has partnered with Australia’s NEPEAN Group to place local technical talent in high-paying overseas roles.

Under this ongoing collaboration, seven GTTC-trained technicians were selected for employment at the Ingleburn production facility of PROK, a NEPEAN Group company based in Sydney, Australia.

Each recruit will receive an impressive annual salary package of approximately ₹56 lakh, reflecting the strong global demand for advanced manufacturing expertise. The candidates were chosen following a rigorous selection process featuring practical tests and interviews conducted at GTTC between August 31 and September 1, 2026, which saw participation from 45 hopefuls.

This successful hiring drive follows an earlier round in April 2026, where six technicians were selected and have since relocated to Sydney to commence their roles. Welcoming the achievement, Dr. Sharanprakash R. Patil, Minister for Medical Education, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship & Livelihood, emphasised that the initiative underscores the global standard and relevance of Karnataka’s technical training programmes while paving the way for further international career pathways.
