BJP cadre told to strive for NDA victory
Guntur: BJP state president PVN Madhav said the NDA would contest in the local body elections and urged the party leaders to strive for the landslide victory of the alliance candidates. He addressed the BJP state office bearers meeting held at A Convention Centre here on Friday. He said the party should have representation for all municipal corporations in the state.
He said that the party should reach out to people from all sections of society and tour every region extensively. For this purpose, a series of programmes would be organised across AP from September 15 to October 17 as part of the ‘Seva Sankalpa Abhiyan’. He called upon party workers to actively involve people at the grassroots level. He stressed the need to take the development and welfare programmes of the Central and State governments to the people.
He said the BJP had recently taken up the issue of providing free power supply to Ganesh pandals, and the state government had responded positively to the party’s demand.
