Guntur: Minister for HRD Nara Lokesh assured that he would take steps to provide drinking water, underground gas and underground drainage connections facility to every household in Mangalagiri by 2029. As part of ‘Mana Illu – Mana Lokesh’ programme, he distributed permanent house site pattas and PMAY sanction documents to 372 beneficiaries at Kunchanapalli of Tadepalli mandal in Guntur district on Monday.
Speaking on this occasion, he said people had sought permanent solutions to the problems of the retaining wall at Mahanadu Katta, underground drainage and drinking water during the elections. These works would be taken up systematically and completed, he said.
Lokesh recalled that 3,002 house site pattas were distributed in the first phase, 2,670 in second phase and 388 in third phase, providing permanent ownership rights over assets worth approximately Rs 2,000 crore in total.
When he had taken up house site pattas issue in Mangalagiri with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the latter instructed that similar problems anywhere in AP also be resolved, he said. He said roads would be laid immediately in areas where underground drainage, drinking water pipelines and underground gas pipelines had been completed.
