‘Nijam Gelichindi’ programme organised
Guntur: As part of the district-wide “Nijam Gelichindi” programmes being organised to mark the anniversary of the alleged illegal arrest of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Union Minister of State for Rural Development Dr Pemmasani Chandrasekhar along with Ponnur MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar participated in a programme held at Pedakakani mandal headquarters in Ponnur Assembly constituency on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he claimed that the previous government failed to bring a single major company or complete a major project during its five-year tenure and alleged that its policies resulted in the destruction of public infrastructure and Amaravati and incidents of violence against women.
In contrast, Chandrababu Naidu’s government had completed the Veligonda project and was progressing towards completion of the Polavaram project, besides attracting globally reputed IT companies and bringing thousands of crores of rupees in investments to the State, he said. MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar recalled the protests held by people and TDP activists following Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest three years ago.
