Guntur: Sri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with devotion and religious fervour at the ISKCON Temple in Mallareddy Nagar here on Friday. Special pujas were performed to Lord Sri Krishna on this occasion. The temple premises were colourfully decorated. Thousands of devotees visited the temple and performed pujas seeking blessings of Lord Sri Krishna to fulfil their wishes.

The temple authorities have made elaborate arrangements for the convenience of the devotees visiting the temple and offering Teerdham and prasadam. Temple premises reverberated with Hara Rama - Hare Krishna Sankirtan.

Similarly, special pujas were performed to Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy at Brindavan Gardens Venkateswara Swamy Temple. The Devasthanam authorities performed social poojas to Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy. They distributed Teerdham and prasadam to the devotees. Sri Krishna Janmashtami is also celebrated at Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Temple in Arundalpet here.
