Guntur: EAGLE Inspector General Ake Ravi Krishna warned that substance abuse not only damages an individual’s health and future but also destroys families and society. He made it clear that those involved in the use of narcotic substances would face stringent legal action.

He along with Chalapathi University chancellor YV Anjaneyulu paid tributes to the patriot of Mahatma Gandhi. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Chalapathi University organised a grand walkathon on Friday with two significant themes ‘Non-Violence’ and ‘Let Us Stand Against Drugs’. The walkathon covered nearly 16 kms from Chalapathi University to Buddha Statue in Amaravati.

Along with the students, volunteers from the Youth Hostels Association, Guntur Chapter, yoga instructors from Guntur, and representatives of several voluntary organisations actively participated in the concluding programme held near the Buddha Statue in Amaravati.
