Amberpet: Hectic campaigning is on by candidates for the Amberpet Mahankali Temple Committee election to be held on November 24. Members of three panels are facing a stiff competition. The candidates of Janagam Sathibabu Goud panel, with lion as the symbol, on Tuesday approached the temple committee members seeking their votes.

More Sriramulu Mudiraj who is contesting for the general secretary's post promised locals that he would strive to develop the temple and provide better facilities to devotees.

The candidates who canvassed for support include Jangam Sathibabu Goud (for president), Banjara Chandrasekhar Goud (vice-president), M Sriramulu Mudiraj (general secretary), Immudi Raghunandan (joint secretary), Rangampally Raju (secretary) and V Mahender Reddy (treasurer).
