BJP govt stalled CM’s US tour for planned education development, says Jagga Reddy

Hyderabad: Telangana PCC working president T Jagga Reddy on Tuesday accused the BJP government of ‘stopping Chief Minister Revanth Reddy from undertaking a planned education development tour of US.’

Reddy maintained that ‘when Prime minister Narendra Modi went to Pakistan unofficially why did not BJP MPs question that. Revanth set out on his US tour, but the BJP government obstructed it. The Central government brought him back from London, citing some reason in his capacity as Chief Minister and stopped the visit.

Reddy claimed that “because the Telangana Chief Minister is from the Congress party, the Central BJP government blocked him. It prevented the Telangana CM’s tour from being successful. The people of Telangana, students, and intellectuals need to think: “If the BJP government insulted the Telangana CM, that means they’ve insulted people of Telangana. Going to America nothing new for Revanth Reddy. Why did it have to be stopped? What was the need for it?”.

‘Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender alleged that he was going to meet someone who spoke against the country.Well then, didn’t PM Modi go to the house of Pakistan’s PM Nawaz Sharif without telling anyone? He went to Pakistan for Nawaz Sharif’s birthday,” Jagga Reddy pointed out.

“Even if you move from the bedroom to the office, the PM’s security checks everything. So how did Modi, who is bound by such protocols, go to Pakistan? Answer that and then talk about Revanth Reddy. BJP leaders shouldn’t blame Revanth Reddy. Modi went to Pakistan unofficially, but when Revanth wanted to go to the US officially, they blocked him and conspired. Why did Modi go to an enemy nation? Explain why Modi went into an enemy country and then talk about Revanth Reddy. During a US visit, the ambassador would know—they’d be with him, right? Modi should explain why they allowed London tour but stopped the US trip,” he remarked.

“Whatever the BJP does, it’s all just political drama. In ten years of BRS rule, the economy was shattered.

Revanth is eager to work under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership. Who knows why Modi got so tempted to comment? Even if the PM is tempted, Revanth has remained neutral and balanced. If the other side loves you, what can anyone do? It’s just one-sided love. Revanth is committed to Rahul Gandhi. Don’t over-imagine things,” he said.

Reddy alleged that ’freedom was imprisoned during ten years of BRS rule; after Congress came to power, freedom was restored. The Congress government gave people the freedom to speak and the freedom to protest, including the freedom to hold a protest in Indira Park for any of their demands.’

“In terms of welfare schemes, it implemented free bus travel and loan waivers;90 per cent of loans were waived; it provided fine rice and issued smart ration cards,” he said.
