LB Nagar: State BJP Executive Committee member Perala Shekhar Rao organised bandh in the L B Nagar area in response to the call given by the party to protest against the suicides committed by over 20 Intermediate students following the recent marks fiasco.

He described the suicides as 'murders by the State government', while demanding the government's apology to the entire student community in Telangana. Rao criticised the arrests of the party activists and said if 'they continued jails in the State would not be sufficient to accommodate them'. The BJP leaders/activists while organising the bandh demanded that the TRS government take responsibility for the fiasco.

They demanded action against Globarena Tech and called for resignation of Education Minister G Jagdish Reddy, holding him responsible for the incidents that followed the students' suicides.
