Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Wednesday stated that Hyderabad is being developed not only as a tourism destination but also as a knowledge hub. The CM noted that institutions such as Harvard, Oxford University, MIT, and the London School of Business have already agreed to establish offshore campuses in Hyderabad. He mentioned that plans have been finalised to develop 'Bharat Future City' as a net-zero city. Augustine Lee, Permanent Secretary of the Energy Market Authority under Singapore's Ministry of Trade and Industry on Wednesday met with CM Revanth Reddy at the Assembly. During the meeting, they discussed several key issues.

The Singapore representatives expressed readiness to establish a semiconductor industry in Telangana. The CM briefed them on the Musi River rejuvenation project and the development of Future City. He explained that the first phase of the Musi rejuvenation would cover the stretch from the confluence of the Musi and Eesa rivers up to 'Gandhi Sarovar'. The Chief Minister stated that plans have been prepared for riverfront development as well as the growth of a 'night economy'. CM Revanth Reddy urged the Singapore representatives to invest in the state and provide financial support for its development.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy affirmed that his government would provide comprehensive support for investments in the state. The Singapore representatives responded positively regarding investment prospects. On this occasion, the Chief Minister invited the Singaporean representatives to the Telangana Global Summit, scheduled to be held in the 'Future City' this December. Telangana Government Advisor Ramakrishna Rao, South Asia Senior Director Dr. Francis Chong, Consul-General William Chik, and other Singaporean representatives participated in the meeting.
