Hyderabad: Congress MP Mallu Ravi on Wednesday lodged a complaint against former Minister and BRS working president KT Rama Rao over alleged defamatory and inappropriate remarks against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

Ravi approached Begum Bazar Police Station and sought registration of a case under Sections 356 and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). He also submitted a complaint to Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar, requesting legal action and preservation of evidence from social media and news reports.

Ravi accused BRS leaders of attempting to tarnish personal reputations and disturb law and order. He criticised former Minister T Harish Rao over his alleged statements and accused the BRS of encouraging political tensions.

He also condemned alleged misconduct by BRS members towards police personnel, including women constables, and alleged attempts to disrupt Assembly proceedings."There is a difference between questioning and abusing," Ravi said, reiterating his demand for legal action against KTR.
