Hyderabad: A group of retired employees and contractors staged a flash protest in front of the chambers of Deputy Chief Minister Ballu Bhatti Vikramarka in the state Secretariat here on Monday.
Though some restrictions were imposed on the movement of the people around the Bhatti’s chambers in the second floor, the agitating retired employees tried to enter the chambers and submit a representation. This apart, the contractors alleged that they made several pleas for the release of long pending bills, but their pleas fell on deaf ears for the last two years.
The retired employees poured out their financial woes due to delay in the release of dues after their retirement.
The alerted security in the Secretariat reached the spot and sent them out of the premises.
