Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju Jaju, along with HMDA officials, conducted a site inspection of the 5.40-km elevated corridor on NH-44 from Paradise Junction to Dairy Farm Road and the 18.18-km SH-01 corridor on Sunday
Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju on Sunday directed the Land Acquisition Officers (LAOs) of Hyderabad and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts to expedite the acquisition of private lands falling within the alignment of the Elevated Corridor project on NH-44. He also asked officials to ensure that government and religious structures were handed over at the earliest.
Jaju, along with HMDA officials, conducted a site inspection of the 5.40-km Elevated Corridor on NH-44 from Paradise Junction to Dairy Farm Road and the 18.18-km SH-01 corridor.
The inspection began at 0+000 chainage at Paradise Junction. The Chief Secretary reviewed the progress of the project and examined key bottlenecks affecting its timely completion.
He reviewed issues related to land acquisition at Le Royal Function Hall, working permissions for the 600-metre underground tunnel at the Begumpet Airport premises and pending Defence land acquisition in the 68th Regiment area.
Jaju directed the concerned officials to resolve the issues on priority and ensure completion of the project within the stipulated timeframe. He also instructed officials to immediately bring issues requiring Government-level intervention to the Government’s notice for expeditious resolution.
The Chief Secretary said the NH-44 Elevated Corridor was a key infrastructure initiative of the Telangana government and had been accorded high priority by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. He directed all departments and agencies concerned to work in close coordination, resolve field-level issues promptly and ensure timely and quality completion of the project.
Jaju also inspected the 18.18-km SH-01 corridor from Paradise Junction to Shameerpet at the ORR Junction, along with HMDA officials.
The SH-01 corridor comprises 11.658 km of elevated section, while the remaining stretch will be constructed at grade. The project includes ramps at Karkhana, Tirumalagiri and Alwal, a tunnel-cum-vehicular subway near Hakimpet Airport Station, and grade separation structures at Lothkunta and Alwal.
