Dr Anand Islawath has been unanimously elected as the Working President of the Global Banjara Welfare Society (GBWS) during a programme in Hyderabad under the leadership of GBWS National President Hanmanthu Naik
HYDERABAD: Dr Anand Islawath, who has been actively involved in social service through free medical services and support to government schools, orphanages, old-age homes, persons with disabilities and underprivileged people, has been unanimously elected Working President of the Global Banjara Welfare Society (GBWS).
The election was held at a programme in Hyderabad under the leadership of GBWS National President Hanmanthu Naik. Jeevan Lal Lavidiya, Venkateshwarlu Meghavath, Mohan Lal, Panduranga Naik, Balaram Naik, Hari Kishan and Srinivas Naik were elected honorary presidents. Mohan Naik was appointed General Secretary and Vinod Treasurer.
Pomu Singh Rathod, Ravinder Naik and Kodavath Naik were also elected Working Presidents.
Dr Anand Islawath thanked the society for its trust and pledged to work for the welfare of the Banjara community, poor and economically weaker sections. He said he would strive to expand free medical services, educational assistance and social welfare programmes.
