Hyderabad: The Telangana State Waqf Board has sounded an alarm among various government departments over the alleged use of fake No Objection Certificates (NOCs) and clearance documents issued by the Board to facilitate transactions and registration of properties claimed to be Waqf properties.
According to the Telangana Waqf Board, it has come to its notice that certain land operators are allegedly presenting fabricated NOCs or clearances before revenue, registration and other government authorities, claiming that the documents were issued by the Waqf Board. Such documents are allegedly being used to obtain execution and registration of documents relating to Waqf properties.
The Board stated that, according to its position, there is no provision under the Waqf Act, 1995, the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025, or the rules framed there under for the issuance of such an NOC.
The Board requested all these authorities to exercise caution and not consider any alleged NOC or clearance claiming to have been issued by the Telangana Waqf Board.
