Hyderabad: HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath has said that the owners of the Janwada farmhouse had not responded to notices issued by the agency, while the Municipal Commissioner confirmed that no GHMC building permission had been granted for the property.
Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy lodged a complaint with the HYDRAA Commissioner regarding the Janwada lands. While visiting the farmhouse site on Saturday, the MP spoke to Ranganath over the phone and sought details of the action taken against the property.
Ranganath reportedly informed Chamala that notices had been issued to the owners in June, but no response had been received. He said the persons concerned had sought four weeks’ time to submit their reply but had not responded even after the stipulated period. Chamala urged the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) Commissioner to examine the matter and take necessary action at the earliest.
Chamala also contacted the Municipal Commissioner to seek clarification on construction permissions for the Janwada farmhouse. He alleged that several farmhouses in the area had been constructed without proper authorisation. According to Chamala, the Municipal Commissioner stated that no GHMC permission had been granted for construction at the site.
The Commissioner also said that, when questioned earlier, the owner had claimed that the structure was constructed with the permission of the local Sarpanch. He urged the authorities to examine the ownership and transactions involving survey nos. 311, 301 and 313, alleging irregularities in the transfer of the lands.
