GHMC finds dengue mosquito larva in tyre
The GHMC officials who visited the residence of a dengue patient in Reinbazaar under Santoshnagar circle found the breeding of mosquito inside one of the tyres on the rooftop.
Reinbazaar: The GHMC officials who visited the residence of a dengue patient in Reinbazaar under Santoshnagar circle found the breeding of mosquito inside one of the tyres on the rooftop.
According to Deputy Commissioner GHMC, K Alivelu Mangathayaru (Santoshnagar), when she along with Assistant Entomologist Srinivas and other health officials visited the residence of the dengue patient, they found larva of the mosquito 'Aedes aegypti' breeding inside the rubber tyre which was placed on the rooftop for some time.
The officials later asked the locals to take precautions by keeping clean their surroundings and ensuring no water stagnation takes place inside their houses, as in the case the unused rubber tyres, which provided a fertile grounds for these mosquitoes to breed.
